Betscore is not the sportsbook I would expect to knock New Zealand’s established names off the first screen of anyone’s phone. It makes more sense as the scrappy second account. Football gets good prices and enough market depth to make comparison shopping worthwhile. Horse racing has also been given proper space rather than being dumped into a forgotten corner. Around those two, Betscore covers enough basketball, tennis, ice hockey, cricket, baseball and smaller sports to work as a useful all-rounder.
That is the appeal. I would not move my entire betting life here. I would keep Betscore around for a football price that beats my usual book, a racing card I fancy, or one of the sports promos when the bet already makes sense without it.
Registration
Betscore gives you two ways in: email and password, or PlayID.
The quickest way through it is:
- Pick email registration or PlayID.
- Enter your name, date of birth, sex and country.
- Choose your account currency.
- Add your phone number, city and address.
- Confirm you are 18 or older and accept the account rules.
- Decide whether you want the sports welcome bonus.
I would spend more time checking the name and address than choosing a password. Betscore can verify identity, address, payment ownership, account activity and source of funds later, so getting clever with abbreviations only creates work for yourself.
Payments can be held while that is happening. If I were planning to use Betscore regularly, I would rather get the paperwork out of the way before a decent football win is sitting there waiting to leave.
Bonuses
Betscore has gone harder on sportsbook promos than I expected. There is a welcome bonus, reloads, cashback, Early Payout, accumulator boosts and a Bet Builder deal. The catch is familiar. The deposit offers come with real turnover work and minimum odds, so this is not a case of backing a 1.20 favourite and ticking the wagering box.
First Deposit Bonus
New sports customers can get 100% up to $200 on the first qualifying deposit. For New Zealand players, the deposit and bonus need 6x turnover. Singles must settle at odds of at least 2.00, while every leg of a multiple needs to be 1.50 or higher.
That is enough wagering to deserve a plan. I would take it if I already had a run of sensible singles or multis lined up. I would not start inventing bets just to chase the full $200.
Weekly Reload Bonus
The weekly reload gives 50% up to $1,000 and can be claimed once during the week. New Zealand players need 8x turnover, with the same 2.00 minimum on singles and 1.50 per leg on multiples.
Eight times the deposit is where the promo starts feeling like work. A regular punter may clear it naturally. Someone betting a couple of times a week could be carrying that bonus around for longer than they wanted.
Sports Cashback
The weekly sports cashback returns 10% of qualifying losses up to $1,000. You need to opt in for the qualifying week. Once credited, the cashback needs 3x wagering and must be used within 30 days.
This is the sports promo I prefer. A smaller rebate after a bad week is easier to stomach than another deposit tied to heavy turnover. Just remember that cashback here is still bonus money, not cash ready for an immediate withdrawal.
Early Payout
Early Payout is one of the better ideas because it improves a normal bet rather than asking for another deposit. On qualifying football matches, an eligible pre-match 1X2 bet can be settled as a winner once your team goes two goals ahead, even if they later throw the lead away. Selected other sports use their own lead conditions.
The headline limit is $100,000. I would take this over another reload every time. Place the bet you already wanted and take the extra protection when it applies.
Accumulator Boost
Winning accumulators with at least three selections can receive an extra return, provided every leg is priced at 1.40 or higher. The boost starts at 3% for three legs, reaches 30% at 10, and climbs to 100% with 21 or more selections. The headline ceiling is $200,000.
Three to six legs is where this makes the most sense to me. Once you are building a 21-leg acca, the size of the boost is no longer the biggest concern.
Bet Builder Risk Free
The Bet Builder promo gives 50% stakeback as a Free Bet up to $100 when the first qualifying Bet Builder loses. The original bet needs total odds of at least 1.70, and only the first qualifying Bet Builder counts. The Free Bet has to be requested after settlement and then used within three days.
Winnings from that Free Bet need 3x turnover at minimum odds of 1.50 before withdrawal.
So there is useful protection here, but the “risk free” label needs translating. You do not simply get your cash back and walk away.

Most of the other supported cryptocurrencies run from $25 to $9,800 for deposits and $50 to $9,800 for withdrawals. The cashier gives Kiwi players plenty of choice, but check the withdrawal column before putting money in. NTLR is deposit-only, while bank transfer works only for cashing out. Bitcoin is also a poor fit for smaller balances because withdrawals start at $110.
We had no problems withdrawing during a month of testing, although that came from a properly verified account with matching personal and payment details. That is useful experience, not a guarantee.

Football is the main reason I would keep Betscore in rotation. The prices are competitive enough to check before a decent stake, and the market depth goes well beyond the basics without turning every match page into a mess.
Horse racing gives it another useful angle. Standard racing, harness and greyhounds all get proper space, which helps Betscore feel more like an all-round betting account than another football-first offshore book.
